Description

VTA have been assisting Atkins at their Epsom offices during the design process for the first phase of the new development. This task was not only an Atkins pilot project where they were using Autodesk Revit MEP for the first time but was also used to implement a BIM environment for it. Our team’s main responsibility was 3D spatial coordination of the services for nearly a hundred different size plantrooms, followed by creating 2D design drawings presenting services accompanied by additional data extracted from the final models thanks to BIM. More information on Jeddah Airport The new King Abdulaziz International Airport near Jeddah in Saudi Arabia is a three-stage development started in September 2006 that is currently scheduled for completion in 2014. Three new terminal buildings, a high-speed rail link and a capacity for up to 80 million passengers a year.
