A new research building & one of the largest Building Services projects undertaken in London. VTA were initially employed by Laing O’Rourke to carry out a first co-ordination exercise to 2 No.Basement Plantroom floors to confirm slab builders work details.
Due to the sheer extent of services these floors were spatially very challenging area’s, in particular, to maintain a suitable access route & head clearance.
Subsequently, VTA were employed by Crown House Technologies to act as lead co-ordinator for 4 No. Basement floors ( 2 Plant & 2 Laboratories), and 15 No. Multi-Service risers throughout the building (up to 8.5 x 6.0 m in size & through 11 No. floors in total & roof level).
Services included M&E, Public Health, Medical Gases & Extensive Steam systems. All floors & risers were modularised to speed on site installation, with VTA producing module fabrication drawings for approximately 500 No. modules. Project delivered using AutoCAD Revit 2013 software.
